It was Christmas of 2007 and my love affair with Hypemachine steered my interest towards this distinctive electronic band. Checking their touring list i was disgusted to find that they had played Electric Picnic festival just a few months earlier. No matter, i thought, they'll be back again no doubt. No such luck. They've flown over Ireland for 3-4 European tours and seem quite content to hob nob with the French and Germans. You know, "Europeans".
New York natives Evan Mast and Mike Stroud have gone the Daft Punk and Justice route of electronic music making. Identify a sound and mold in into the veins of your music. Using a set up of a synth and electric/bass guitars hooked up to effects, they've stretched their sound to 4 albums with a surprisingly fresh feel each time. A tough feat but the duo are clearly comfortable in their creations.
